An enigma is something mysterious. It can be either a person or a thing. You may not understand it. The first time I heard this word it was used to describe me by someone else. It is a great story.

I remember back during my last mission trip. One of my teammates looked at me and said you are not a chicken you are a lion. I started to walk around clucking like a chicken. I don't remember how this all was started. I would guess it had something to do with not having enough courage to do something. How does this apply now? Well I will tell you.
I have been wanting to write a new blog for some time now. It has been a couple of weeks since my last post. The thing is, I have not had any crazy ideas come to my head on what to write about. I am currently finishing up week 4 of this temporary job with a temp agency. Awake at 4 am, going to bed early. Working 40 hours a week on my feet and running around, at the end of the day I am just tired. But, the thing is I do not focus on where I am now. My focus is on where I will be going.
As I have said, this is a temporary job working in a factory. I was asked if I could work for the next 6 months or maybe a couple months more. Eventually the time will end for me there and I will get on a one-way flight to the Philippines, the country that God has called me to. Knowing this makes my days easy. I have never wanted to work in a factory but, I walk in there every day with a smile on my face and ready to go and I know what the end result is going to be. I make a choice each day to find a way to enjoy my day and with that help make my coworkers day a little brighter. I guess if there is a lesson to be learned here it is this; that you are to enjoy the journey getting to where you want to go. For many of us, we dream of the day of getting to heaven and meeting our Savior face to face. For now, God has plans for us here on Earth. Enjoy the day, no matter what may come your way, it is a blessing and you never know whose day you will turn around. |
