God showed up so big this weekend at a fundraiser, and I want to share with you what God did in my life. So Memorial Day I decided to go to the local stockyards and set up a booth. I had gone up the Saturday before hand and marked out a tiny plot of land to do so under the trees. I figured I would want to be out of the sun if I was going to be there for several hours. My parents van was loaded with the table, chair, and umbrella for me prior to Monday. I packed the Treads of Hope friendship bracelets that I am selling and some other things and left. Of course, I left without bringing the change bag so I had to turn around and go get it, thankfully I was close to home still. As I finally got going to Croswell, which is about 20 miles from my home, the sun was coming up and I was upset with myself for being slow. As I drove, I decided to pray. I asked God to give me peace and thanked Him so much for it. I asked for God to bless everyone that I would interact with that day. Upon arriving in Croswell, I drove the van back to the space I had claimed only to find that my stakes and rope where moved. Another person nearby approached me and said they moved them so their friend could get a truck and trailer in their spot which was next to mine. I understood them completely and was completely happy with it. In fact, I found a spot on the other side of the aisle that wasn’t claimed and just parked there and allowed the others to use what little bit I had taken. It did not take long for me to set up. It was just one table. As I finished a man walked by and started to speak with me. He was telling me how his church feeds people around the area and how he saves his spare change to give to that ministry. It was so nice to hear such a wonderful story from this man. At the end he handed me a gift and left. I was blessed by that man and I prayed that God would bless him as he walked away. Next was this wonderful couple that knew people that worked at a school in the Philippines. It was so nice to talk with them. The day was full of conversations. It was hardly slow around me. People asking about the friendship bracelets and just sharing with them the travels I have had around the world and sharing with them what I will be doing in the Philippines for 2 years. Some of the most moving scenes in the day were the countless high school or college age students who would walk up and just give a dollar or two say, “I know this isn’t much but I want to help,” and walk away. One took all the change they had on them and just put it in the donation box I had sitting at the end of the table. I do pray that each of these young people are very blessed in their futures. To finish this blog up just wanted to say how the day ended. The people across the aisle opened up and gave me information on more events in the future and gave me their number so that they could save me a spot at these events, such a blessing to have met these wonderful people. It was a big blessing being able to interact with all the people that passed in front of the table I had. It was amazing hearing what they had to say and sharing what God was doing in me. On top of all the people God sent my way to speak to, God provided sales and donations. $260 worth of bracelets where sold today (50% of the sales go to the Philippines to the families that made them) and $45.01 was placed into the donation box at the end of the table. God just blew my mind today and showed up in so many different ways and in ways I was not expecting. Today would not have had happened if it was not for God. All Glory and Honor to His name. Amen.
