There are 10 weeks remaining before I leave for the Philippines. To say that I am not nervous would not be the truth. I have never traveled this much by myself. It is a new experience for me. I have to navigate around 3 international airports to get to the Philippines. The only time I have travelled overseas I was part of a group of over 40 people. It was easy to know where you are going, just follow the leaders. I look forward to the challenge.
My room is slowly being packed away. With my mom having a yard sale this week I have moved a lot of things upstairs to be sold. Why store things that no one will be using for a while? Should my family move when I am gone there is less to move. Only 8 storage containers will remain when I walk out that door in December. Over the next 10 weeks I will have time to see some family and friends before I leave. There are those that I haven't seen in a long time. Also, I will be pushing further into the presence of God and getting closer to His heart for His people. Change is in the air. I look forward to this next season that God has brought me into. It will have challenges, but I look forward to them as I know that my God is with me in all that I do in His name.

It is official, I am leaving for the Philippines on December 4th, 2014. The plane ticket has been reserved and I am ready to go. The excitement inside is spilling over. This is a dream come true. God is just so amazing.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by a wonderful American missionary serving in the Philippines. They simply wanted to reach out and make friends that want to serve there. As we talked I was eventually invited to come and visit the ministry they help with to get to know what it is like to live in the Philippines. That was a door opened by God. However, God did not wait for me to make a choice and walk through it on my own. It was more like a nice push through the door. I formally accepted the invitation and off we went. The entire staff is extremely excited to have me coming to join them. We have already gotten to Skype each other a couple times. Also, during these video calls I was able to meet some of the wonderful people that I will be ministering with. Plans are quickly in motion. Already know they are meeting me at the airport when I land in the Philippines, arraignments have been made for me to have a place to rest each night, guitar lessons have been planned, and some of the things I will be doing once I am there have been planned. What are some of the things I will be doing there? Well let me share with you.
This list is sure to expand once I am in the Philippines and the ministry expands. I am very excited to be a part of God’s Kingdom growing in the Philippines. I know I can not do this without the help of God. I am looking forward to being a part of this ministry and being involved with them and the local church. I look forward to the moment my plane lands in the Philippines and I am able to walk on Philippine soil again. Thank you for reading this blog and all the prayers you have said for me. God will bless each and everyone of you. Please continue to pray and if you feel led to give and support me in this ministry I am blessed to be apart of click the donate link to get started. Thank you again and God bless. |
