And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. (Genesis 2:2 NKJV)
Finding a time to rest is very hard in our lives. However, it is very important to rest. I am not just talking about getting a good nights sleep every night either. I mean truly finding a day just to relax and allow yourself to be refreshed.

When I stand before God, there is one thing I want to be found Guilty of, that is Faith in God. Yes I am serious. Faith is everything. As stated in Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Another quote about faith that I have seen hanging on the wall of a friends house is, "Faith is not believing that God can, it is knowing that GOD will."
Very interesting title if you ask. I wanted to take a little bit of time to unbox God in our lives. Let me get straight to the point, so many of us, including me, have at times placed God in a box. We get in our minds that God only acts a certain way, that there are only certain things He will do, or even as far as saying to God you can have this part of my life but that where you need to stay.
The truth is, you can not box God in, and when you try to, you limit the power of God in your life. God is just so big, and it would take more than my lifetime to understand who God is completely, there is simply so much about Him that we do not understand. God never changes, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God can not fail and God will always deliver on His promises. The Bible is full of the promises of God for His children (that's us). And yes God never changes, He is simply reveling more and more of Himself to us. So, why would I want to box God in based on a few good experiences? Wouldn't that make me want to dive that much more deeper into God? To answer both of the questions, I do not want to box or limit God, I want to learn more and more of Him. God is such a great God and yes, He has surprised me a few times, God has taken care of me. I do not want to stop there. I want to go further into His presence. I want more of God in my life, more of His love and blessings. I am hungry and thirsty for my God. Are you? I pray that you do not limit or box in God, but that you daily go after Him to learn new things. |
