These last few days, my area got hit with a lot of snow. It took a few hours to clear it away; thankfully I went out during a calm time to remove what was there to lighten the load of snow that I would need to move when the snow was done falling. I started to remember my experience of driving in the snow and the times that you can not see the road or what is ahead of you. All you know is where you are going and you trust the tracks in the snow will keep you on the road. This is where I am now in my life in general.
Let me explain a little bit. I know where I am going. It is the Philippines to do some mission work for 2 years. But the journey there is much like a snow covered road. I can not see what is coming, I have to step out in faith knowing that God has my back and that I will get to where I am going. It is hard at times. You move slowly and don’t know what to expect. I do expect to go to the Philippines. I have faith that God will get me to the Philippines and will lead the way down the snow covered road. As the song goes, “Jesus take the wheel” Wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR. God will do big things in 2013.
