My First Trip To The Philippines

Today is a special day for me. It was one year ago today that I arrived in the Philippines for the first time. I already had a draw to that country but I never knew how much I would love the country after I spent time there. The 6 weeks I got to spend there was such a blessing.

I can remember so much of my time there. The drive from the Airport to our ministry host in Manila. Being left behind by my squad in Manila. The flight from Manila to CDO and then the drive to Malaybalay was beautiful. Helping teach at a school in Malaybalay and the students and staff there. And then all the dental work I had done once I got back to Manila. There was so much that happened during the time there.

By the end of the 6 weeks, the Philippines had captured my heart. I didn't want to leave but I knew God had still more for me in the other countries left on the route. Now that I am home I am planning on getting to the Philippines for at least 2 years. I love that country so much and I can't wait to see what God does in my life and in the lives of others while I am in the Philippines.
