September has finally arrived and with that the beginning of the ber months. This is when the Christmas season starts in the Philippines. Four wonderful months of Christmas celebration. This is something I like to do. I already have my small Christmas tree up on my desk, the Christmas lights are still up from last year, I am going through my music finding all the Christmas music. It is just a wonderful time of the year. As I am sitting here writing this blog about Christmas season and getting ready to celebrate the holidays I just can't help but think of other people. I see all that I have the the comfortable lifestyle that I can live if I want it, but I do not. I have the ability to spend the holidays with friends and family, when there are millions of people around the world that have been either betrayed by family member and sold into slavery or where kidnapped or even tricked into slavery. The Christmas season has started in the Philippines but, there are hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children enslaved working in very horrible situations with little or no pay, being sold for sex on a nightly basis. Doing whatever they can do to take care of themselves or their kids. They are unable to escape, trapped in debt so high, and looking for a way out. These people do not get to experience the joy and laughter that comes with this holiday season.
The only thing I can say is, here am I God send me. I know it is the calling on my life to be in the Philippines serving God's people bringing them hope. I would love to be in the Philippines this holiday season to do just that. I would love to see someone set free from slavery while I am there and lets just not stop at just one person but more than one. I am ready to board the plane and fly, leaving my home, to serve in the Philippines. I would love nothing more than to be able to spend Christmas in the Philippines. The only thing stopping me right now is about $6,000. Thats all that is left to be able to spend 1 year in the Philippines. Would you give today to help me get to the Philippines this holiday season and help set the captives free. Visit the donate page for ways to give. Thank you and God bless you.
